Post-Acute Care
Clifton Earned the First Post-Acute Care Certification in Bristol County from The Joint Commission
Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center has been accredited by the Joint Commission for many years. In 2014, in addition to our national accreditation from the Joint Commission, we also achieved the post-acute care certification. We are the first facility in Bristol County to achieve this distinction, and one of only a few organizations statewide.
The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient and resident care. Clifton underwent a vigorous survey in 2014. During the review, a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated compliance with nursing care standards related to several areas, including assistance with activities of daily living, coordination of care, and staff education and training. Surveyors also conducted on-site observations and interviews. To be eligible for certifications, organizations must have an organized approach to the care, treatment and services delivered to a specific patient population, such as post-acute care.
